Sue Phillips said, “It’s important the history of these beautiful buildings is shared with its newest residents, so they can write the latest chapter of Redland Court’s history”.

New Postal Address

June 2021

We are delighted to have received such an appropriate name for our Redland Court development’s postal address. The detailed cobbled paving looks pristine and in front of the School Hall, a Grade II listed building.

Blue Plaque to Emily and Elizabeth Sturge

Past Headmistresses and pupils from Redland High and The Redmaid’s Schools joined members of the Sturge family, RCAS and the Bristol Civic Society at the gates of Redland Court, formerly Redland High Girls’ School, to unveil a Blue Plaque to Emily and Elizabeth Sturge.

There is a rose in the gardens of Redland Court (not in Spanish Harlem as the Ben E King song suggests) that is currently in bloom. Visible from Redland Road, this beautiful rose, the colour of a light summer Rose can be seen just inside the historic wrought iron gates on Redland Road.

Successful Launch Event

We had an excellent turnout for the RC launch last Saturday, it was great to see people finding resourceful solutions to Covid and everyone was very respectful of the rules and appointment times.

After the ups and downs of this year it is exciting to see a launch date fixed for Redland Court, on Saturday 19th September.

Science Building History

The Science Building was originally built in 1931 as the Gamble Science Wing and was then extended during the 1950s.

By adding one and a half floors to the science building the Juniper Homes development is really taking shape now, new residents will be able to take advantage of the wonderful views out across Bristol.
